Kibda Iskandaraniya, Egyptian fried liver

You must try the beef liver cooked with shatta hot sauce. A very popular dish in Egypt.

  1. 1/2 kg beef liver
  2. 1/2 cup green pepper, cut into slices
  3. 1 teaspoon garlic, grated
  4. 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  5. 1 tablespoon margarine
  6. 2 tablespoons oil

  8. black pepper
  9. shatta hot sauce

  1. Add Photo

    Wash the liver and cut into slices, then add the green pepper, garlic and little black pepper. Combine together.

  2. Add Photo

    Heat the oil and margarine in a pan. Add in the liver mixture, season with salt and shatta and cook until the liver is done.

    Turn off the heat and mix in the lemon juice.

    Serve the kibda warm with tahini salad and bread or with ketchup.
