Simple chocolate vanilla cake

Cake is everyone's favorite. We make it on every special occasion. I made this doll cake on my daughter's birthday with very less ingredients. Which ingredients are easily available at home. No special requirements need to made this cake and i decorate it with homemade butter. Now let's see the recipe
Ingredients

1 cup fresh malai (use can store it in freezer for one week)

2 cup all-purpose flour (maida)

1 cup sugar

1 tsp vanilla essences

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp desi ghee
-
1 tsp lemon juice
-
1 cup milk (on room temperature)

2 tsp cocoa powder

For icing
-
1 cup unsalted butter
-
3/4 cup powdered sugar

Pinch food Colour of your choice
Cooking Instructions

Take a big bowl. Add malai, milk and sugar in it. Mix it well until sugar dissolves.

Now add maida in batches and mix it well. Now add cocoa powder and mix it well until mixture becomes smooth.

Now add ghee, baking soda and baking powder and mix it. Finally add lemon juice and mix it and quickly transfer it into a greased cake tin.

Now put this cake tin in preheated oven and cover it. I used gas tandoor for making cake. Now cook on slow flame for 45 mins. After 45 mins check your cake with a toothpick if it comes out clean it means your cake is ready. Switch off the flame. Let it be cool.

Make one another cake of small size for making doll cake.

Now unmold the cake.

For icing add powder sugar in homemade unsalted butter. Beat it with beater until it becomes smooth and light. Now add little food color of your choice and decorate it as you want.
