Curd sandwich also popularly known as raita sandwich .It is a healthy sandwich . More importantly, this is so creamy and rich that it doesn’t require any extra dip along with it. This sandwich can be prepared with any bread . I have used cereal mix brown bread .

Ingredients

  1. 6 slices brown bread
  2. 1/2 cup hung curd (yoghurt)
  3. 1/4 cup cucumber 🥒(finely chopped)
  4. 1/4 cup carrot(finely grated)
  5. As Per Taste Salt
  6. 1/2 tsp pepper powder
  7. 1 green chilli (chopped)
  8. 2 tbsp Butter

Cooking Instructions

    In a mixing bowl take thick curd. Best if you use hung curd. Then add pepper powder according to your spice level. Sprinkle some salt to taste and give a good mix.

    Next add finely chopped vegetables like carrot, cucumber, and chili give a good mix and keep aside.

    Take brown bread and cut the edges of them.

    Now spread the sandwich spread generously over one side of the bread slice. Cover and press with another bread slice over it.

    Heat the Tawa and add some butter. When the butter begins to melt. Now place the prepared sandwich and spread it over butter.

    Once one side of the bread is golden brown, repeat the same step of adding butter and toast the other side of bread by pressing gently.

    To serve cut the sandwich in half or serve as it is. Enjoy the curd sandwich with tomato ketchup.
