Ingredients

30 minutes
3-4 servings
  1. 250 grams Paneer
  2. 2 tbsp Maida
  3. 3 tbsp Corn Flour
  4. 1 tsp Red chilli powder
  5. 1/2 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  6. As Per Taste Salt as required
  7. As Required Oil for frying
  8. As Required Chilli gravy
  9. 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
  10. 1 small Onion (for onion petals)
  11. 1 medium Capsicum (cubes)
  12. 3 green chilli
  13. 1 tsp Corn Flour
  14. 1 tsp Vinegar
  15. 1 tbsp Soya Sauce
  16. 1 tbsp Red Chilli Sauce
  17. 3 tbsp Tomato ketchup
  18. 1/2 tsp Sugar
  19. 1/2 tsp Kashmiri Red chilli powder
  20. 1 tbsp ginger garlic (finely chopped)
  21. 3 tbsp Oil
  22. As Per Required Water
  23. 4 tbsp spring onion greens (finely chopped)
  24. As required Salt

Cooking Instructions

    Cut paneer into pieces

  2. 2

    Assemble ingredients for gravy.

    In a mixing bowl add maida + corn flour + salt + red chili powder + Kashmiri red chili powder and give a good mix.

    Add paneer cubes into the dry mixture and toss well so that each paneer cubes coats well.

    Heat oil and start dropping each coated paneer cubes and shallow fry till crisp and golden brown under medium flame.

    Keep aside. Make a mixture of Vinegar + soya sauce + red chili sauce + tomato ketchup + salt + sugar + Kashmiri red chili powder + 1/2 cup water, mix well, and keep aside.

    In a moderately heated pan add oil, allow to heat, add chopped ginger + garlic and sauté for a few seconds, then add chopped onion and sauté till slightly golden brown.
    Then add onion petals and capsicum cubes and sauté for 2 minutes under medium flame.

    Then add the sauce mixture and wait for a nice boil. Cook for around 2 minutes.
    Now add the corn flour slurry into it and stir well. Further cook for 2-3 minutes under medium flame. Gravy thickens.

    Add fried paneer cubes, mix well and cook further for around 1 minute so that paneer cubes coat well with gravy.

    Switch off the flame, sprinkle onion greens and the dish is ready to serve.

    Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with a few spring onion greens and Serve hot.

    Enjoy as individual or with chow mein or fried rice.
