Ingredients

  1. 150 grams sweet potatoes, boiled
  2. 2 tbsp rice flour
  3. Salt & pepper to taste
  4. 1 tbsp roasted bhaja mashla
  5. For the mushroom filling
  6. 50 g mushrooms, finely diced
  7. 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  8. 2 garlic clove

Cooking Instructions

    Mash sweet potatoes and season well with bhaja mashla, salt and pepper. Leave to cool while you make the filling.

    Heat 1 tbsp oil in a frying pan and saute the onions. Add the garlic, mushrooms,green chilli and season to taste with salt,pepper and chaat masala. Cook on medium high flame.Cook until the mushrooms are soft. Take off the heat and mix in chopped coriander.

    Mix the rice flour into the mashed potatoes and start shaping. Take a couple of tablespoon of the dough and flatten them out into flat patties. Add about a tablespoon of the mushroom mixture in the middle, then top with more of the sweet potato mixture and shape into round potato tikkis.

    In a pan add butter, when it starts melting, add the potato tikkis and cook on each side for about 2 minutes or until golden brown.Enjoy!
