With the receding winter , I thought of making the last batch of the healthy ladoo of the season. So what better choice than delicious sorghum besan ladoos . These ladoos are very easy to make .

Ingredients

30 minutes
Makes 600 - 700gms
  1. 2 cups besan
  2. 150 gms clarified butter/ghee
  3. 2 tbsp for frying dryfruits & gond clarified butter/ghee
  4. 1 cup bora sugar
  5. 1 cup dry fruits (almonds, walnuts & cashews)
  6. 2 tbsp gond
  7. 1/2 cup dessicated coconut
  8. 2 tsp green cardamom powder

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Take 1 tbsp clarified butter / ghee in a pan & fry gond till it swells up.Remove in a plate. Cool. Make a fine powder from it. Keep aside.

    In the same pan add a little more of clarified butter/ ghee, add dry fruits & roast them till crispy. Cool. Grind them to fine powder. Keep aside. Roast dry coconut till pink 🩷 in colour. Keep aside.

    Now take remaining clarified butter/ghee in the same pan. Roast Sorghum & Besan flour till a nice aroma comes & it becomes pink in colour.

    Remove the pan from the flame & take the mixture in a big plate. Cool a little. Add roasted coconut, dryfruits powder, cardamom powder & powdered sugar in it.Mix very well.

    Now take a little mixture in your hand & press into the ladoos, the size of your choice.

    When all the ladoos are ready, store them in an airtight container. Kick start your day with a ladoo or two every morning.
