Ingredients

  1. 1 Cup Rice Toor Daal and (1/2 cup rice & 1/2 cup daal)
  2. 1 Onion (chopped)
  3. 1 Tomato (chopped)
  4. 2 Garlic (chopped)
  5. 1 Curry Leaves Stalk
  6. 1/2 Teaspoon Garam Masala
  7. 1/4 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  8. 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  9. 2 Red Chilli
  10. 1/4 Teaspoon Mustard Cumin and (each)
  11. , 2 Clove Cinnamon Cardamom , (each)
  12. 1 1/2 Cups Water
  13. To Taste Salt
  14. 2 Tablespoons Oil

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Soak rice and daal mixture for 10 minutes. Heat the oil in a pressure cooker, add mustard, cumin, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom. After a few seconds, add onion, curry leaves, red chillies and saute till onion turns transparent.

    Add garlic, tomato and after 2 minutes add all the powders, water, salt and rice mixture. Pressure cook for 2 whistles and 2-5 minutes in low flame.

    Serve with fresh curd and scrambled egg, papadam or pickle. Enjoy!!
