This is usually prepared with a left over rice but I am so fascinated by this that sometimes I cook it with fresh rice for breakfast .

Ingredients

30 mins
  1. 2 cups Rice (cooked)
  2. Oil (obviously) As much as you require for tempering :)
  3. 1/4 Mustard Seeds tea - spoon
  4. 1/4 Cumin Seeds tea - spoon
  5. 4 or 5 Chillies (again depends upon how spicy you want ) Red -
  6. 4 or 5 Green Chillies (  according to your tolerance levels ) -
  7. 2 Bengal Gram Split (Chana Dal ) - table spoons
  8. 2 or 3 Onion -
  9. Curry Leave - Now come on , this you decide :)

Cooking Instructions

    Cook rice and allow it to cool.

    Chop onions vertically and in thin size.

  3. 3

    Chop green chillies vertically and then chop it in halves.

    Heat oil in kadai, add split bengal gram dal (chana dal) and allow it to get medium fried. Now add mustard seed and allow it to sprout. Add red chillies (cut it into small pieces), cumin seeds (jeera). wait for few seconds until the chilli gets little fried.

    Once the ingredients in the kadai are cooked (fried i mean), add the rice that is cooked to the ingredients and mix it well. add salt according to your taste

    Add curry leaves and you can switch off the gas.

    You can consume it immediately if you can handle the heat or wait for five minutes to have it in a warmer temperature.

...There are lots of recipes and lots of cooks who will tell you how wonderful you can cook . I am here mostly to tell you people how to cook time saving dishes . I had this opportunity to discover few of these on my own when i reach late from office or have to start early and don't have the time to cook leisurely . Yeah , cooking is a stress buster to me :)
