Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1/2 cup Moong split dal (chilkewali)
  2. 1/2 cup rice
  3. 1/2 cup chopped carrots
  4. 1/2 cup chopped cabbage
  5. 1/4 cup chopped French beans
  6. 1/4 cup peas (mutter)
  7. 1 chopped onion
  8. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  9. 1 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
  10. 2 green chillies finely chopped
  11. 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  12. 1/2 tsp hing (asfoetida)
  13. to taste Salt
  14. 2 tsp ghee

Cooking Instructions

    Wash rice & Dal. Soak it for 15 minutes. Meanwhile chopped all veggies.

    Heat ghee in pressure cooker. Add Jeera & hing. Saute until brown. Add chopped onions, tomatoes & all vegetables. Saute for 1-2 minutes. Add rice & Dal. Add all spices. Stir all.

    Cover the lid. Cook it on medium flame until 1 whistle. Switch off gas. Once steam released open the lid.

    Serve hot with curd & papad.
