Ingredients

  1. 2 tbsp ghee
  2. 2 tbsp ghee
  3. 1 inch cinnamon
  4. 3 pods cardamom
  5. 5 cloves
  6. 1/2 tsp fennel
  7. 1 tsp cumin
  8. 1 onion finely chopped
  9. 1/4 cup curd
  10. 200 gms paneer cubes (shallow fried)
  11. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  12. 1/4 tsp turmeric
  13. 1 tomato finely chopped
  14. 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  15. 1 tsp biryani masala
  16. 1 tsp salt
  17. 2 tbsp mint finely chopped
  18. 2 tbsp coriander finely chopped
  19. 1 cup brown rice, cooked

Cooking Instructions

    In a pan heat ghee and saute whole spices.

    Add onion, ginger garlic paste and green chilli and saute till onions gets translucent.

  3. 3

    Add tomato and saute till the tomatoes turn soft and mushy.

  4. 4

    Now add turmeric, chilli powder, biryani masala and salt, saute on low flame till it starts to stick to the pan.

    Add 1/4 cup water and let the spices cook

  6. 6

    Add whisked curd and saute till the curd combines well without curdling.

  7. 7

    Add mint, coriander, paneer and mix well.

  8. 8

    Spread the rice evenly on top of the gravy, cover and let it simmer for 5 mins on a low flame so the rice will soak in all the flavors.
