Dink Modak/ Ladoo

100 gm Kharek

1/2 cup Almonds and walnuts pieces

Dry ginger powder-as per taste

2 tbsp Poppy seeds

Ghee as required

3/4 cup Jaggery

Ingredients / Preparationfor Dink modaks/ ladoos.Grate coconut shells.Deseed kharek..and cut into small pieces and grind into coarse powder..keep aside.

Fry dink(edible gum/ gund) in ghee.. little- little in ghee.They will puff up.. keep aside.Cool and crushed them roughly.

In same pan..in 1 tsp ghee roastwalnuts and almonds pieces.. remove in plate.In same pan with 1 tbsp ghee.. roast grated dry coconut till brown in colour on slow flame.keep aside.

In big vessel..add grated jaggery,1 tbsp ghee and 2 tbsp ghee..on slow flame..melt.as it melt..off the flame. Mix

Mix ginger powder, kharek powder,roasted coconut flakes, crushed dink(gund/ edible gum),roasted walnuts and almonds pieces, poppyseeds..mix well.

Take little mixture..give shape of modak or ladoos. Relish/ serve Dink modak/ ladoos.
