Ingredients

30 minutes
4 servings
  1. 2 large potatoes
  2. 2 medium size onion finely chopped
  3. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  4. 2 large tomatoes finely chopped
  5. 1/2 cup green peas
  6. 1 capsicum finely chopped
  7. 2 tbsp butter
  8. 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
  9. 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  10. 1/4 tsp haldi powder
  11. 1 tsp lemon juice
  12. to taste Salt
  13. 8 pav buns
  14. as needed Butter for pav
  15. as needed Lemon wedges, chopped onion and chopped coriander for garnishing

Cooking Instructions

    Firstly, pressure cook potatoes and peas. Then mash it very well. Keep aside.

    Heat butter in a pan. Add onion and ginger garlic paste. Cook till onion gets translucent.

  3. 3

    Add in the tomatoes and cook till it turn mushy.
    Then add capsicum, lemon juice and spices, mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

    Add boiled and mashed potatoes and peas.
    Then add around 1/2 or 1 cup water.
    Cook until it reaches a desired consistency.

    Heat butter in a pan or tawa.
    Slit the pav, leaving one edge intact.
    Open the buns. Sprinkle some pav bhaji masala on heated butter and place the pav. Toast it for a minute.

    Garnish bhaji with lemon wedges, onion coriander and some butter.
    Serve it hot with toasted pav.
