  1. 5 medium potatoes thinly sliced
  2. 1/2 cup bacon chopped
  3. 3 tbsp butter
  4. 1/2 onion, chopped
  5. 3 garlic cloves
  6. 1 cup heavy cream
  7. 2 tsp salt
  8. 1 tsp ground black pepper
  9. 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
  10. 1/3 cup sharp cheddar cheese

Cooking Instructions

    Use a mandolin to thinley slice the potatoes, and put them in cold water until ready to use.

    In a medium pot melt butter, then add bacon.

    Add onions and garlic, cook for 5 minutes or tell onions are translucent.

    Add heavy cream, salt, pepper and wisk on low tell sauce becomes thick and boiling.

    Reduce heat and add the cheese.

    Put potatoes in a lightly greased casserole dish

  7. 7

    Pour sauce over potatoes, bake for an hour at 350° uncovered.

I absolutely love this recipe! I have made it every year for the past 5 years for family Easter dinner and it’s become an expectation which I don’t mind at all! My fiancé helps me with the prep as it can be a little time consuming for me but it is so, so worth it!
