Description

Braised tofu in a sweet/salty/spicy sauce mix!

材料 (2-3 servings)

firm/extra firm tofu (drained)
1 pack (14 oz)
paper towel
 
toasted sesame oil
1 tablespoon
 
for the sauce:
gochujang
1 tablespoon
tamari soy sauce
2 tablespoons
mirin
2 tablespoons
cane sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons
rice vinegar
1 tablespoon
garlic (grated)
1 teaspoon
4 tablespoons
potato starch
1 teaspoon
 
toasted sesame seeds
for garnish (optional)

    Cut the tofu in half, slice each half into equal slices.

    Combine all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl.

    Oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.

    Place tofu and let it cook undisturbed until golden brown.

    Flip and cook until golden brown on the other side.

    Pour the sauce mix and bring to a simmer.

    Turn the tofu once or twice to evenly coat them with sauce.

    Sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Serve. (Set along with rice!)

コツ・ポイント

Press the tofu to remove excess moisture no matter what type of tofu. Undisturbed tofu needs to be nicely golden brown.
