This rib marinade was super yum and I felt a teeny bit righteous because it has pear in it. I halved the amount of sugar, soy and mirin but kept the rest of the ingredients as stated. Next time I think I will use even less. I also used pork ribs rather than beef and stewed them for a while in the marinade to tenderise them. Then I reduced the sauce and poured a little on top of the rice (which is why I felt I should limit the salt and sugar content). Both of my kids, my husband and I all really enjoyed our meal and I will definitely be making it again.
