Instant Rava Dhokla

Ingredients

  1. 1 Cup Rava
  2. 1/2 Cup Curd
  3. 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Chilli Paste
  4. 1 tbsp Besan
  5. 1 tbsp Fruit salt
  6. to taste Salt
  7. Pinch turmeric
  8. 1 tsp Sugar optional
  9. Oil for tadka
  10. 1 tsp Sarso dana
  11. 4-5 curry leaves
  12. Pinch hing
  13. 1-2 green chillies chopped
  14. 1-2 tbsp Chopped Coriander
  15. 1 tsp red chilli powder optional

Cooking Instructions

    Soak rava with curd adding salt atleast for an hour.

    In soaked rava add ginger garlic chilli paste, besan, sugar (optional), turmeric (optional) and around 1 tbsp of oil. Add additional water in case batter gets too thick. Do not make it into running consistency. Greece dhokla pan with oil. Just before pouring batter in dhokla pan add fruit salt. Gently mix it and pour in pan. Sprinkle red chilli powder on top of it. Steam it for max 10-15 mins.

    Heat oil in tadka pan and add all remaining ingredients in it. Let it fry for minute and pour it on dhokla just before cutting it. Garnish it with fresh coriander.

    Serve it hot with with green chutney.
