Asian Pear Compote
To tell the truth, my kids and I both dislike Asian pears.
But if they are made into compote, we can eat them!
Recipe by Shinamoro-rus
Ingredients
-
4 tbsp Sugar
-
2 tsp Lemon juice
Cooking Instructions
-
1
Peel and core the pear, then cut into 5 mm slices.
-
2
Evenly spread the slices into a heat-resistant dish, then evenly sprinkle on the sugar and lemon juice.
-
3
Cover with a lid and microwave for 5 minutes. After the slices are tender, it's ready to serve! If they are still hard, microwave longer, checking after increments of 30 seconds.
-
4
Cover with a lid and cool. It will become tender from the residual heat. Once it cools, chill in the refrigerator. Serve chilled.
-
5
Use the compote to make a fluffy and rich cheese cake. It's easy since it uses pancake mix..
