Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
  2. 1 cup brown sugar
  3. 1/4 cup white sugar
  4. 1 egg plus 1 egg yolk
  5. 1 tsp vanilla
  6. 1 3/4 cup leveled AP flour
  7. 3/4 tsp baking soda
  8. 1 tsp salt
  9. 2 cups chocolate chips, plus more if desired for making the cookie look better

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Cut butter into cubes and melt over medium low or medium heat until you get a golden brown color, remove from heat.

  2. 2

Add to mixing bowl along with both sugars & mix. Add egg yolk, egg & vanilla, mix. Add flour, baking soda & salt. Mix until almost combined.

  3. 3

Add chocolate chips & mix. (I placed dough in fridge while oven preheated.) Preheat oven to 350. Scoop out balls & add extra chocolate chips to give that bakery feel. Place on greased cookie sheet.

  4. 4

Baje 10-12 min, top with sea salt (optional). Let cool on cookie sheet for 5-10 min before transferring to a wire baking rack.
