Ingredients

  1. 1 can 15 oz can chickpeas
  2. 1/4 cup Tahini
  3. 1/4 cup Lemon juice
  4. 1/2 clove Garlic minced.
  5. 2 tbsp Olive oil
  6. 1 tsp Kosher salt
  7. 1 tsp Ground cumin.
  8. 2 tbsp 2-3 tablespoons water.

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

In the bowl of a food processor combine tahini and lemon juice. Process for one minute. Scrape sides then process for 30 seconds.
(This helps "whip" or "cream" the tahini making the most creamy and smooth hummus as possible.)

  2. 2

Add the olive oil, minced garlic, cumin and salt to the whipped tahini and lemon juice and process for 30 seconds. Scrape sides and process another 30 seconds.

  3. 3

Drain the chickpeas and rinse well.

  4. 4

Add half the chickpeas to food processor and process for one minute. Scrape sides and process for another two minutes until thick and smooth.

  5. 5

Most likely the hummus will be too thick and have tiny bits of chickpeas. To fix this, with the processor turned on, slowly add two to three tablespoons of water until the consistency is perfect.
