Ingredients

1/2 kg chicken, with bones

2 tbsp maida/ all purpose flour

1 tbsp cornstarch/cornflour

1 tbsp red chilli powder

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

1 eggs
-
1/2 tbsp cumin powder

2 tsp garam masala
-
1 tsp coriander powder
-
2 tbsp lemon juice
-
3 green chilies, finely chopped

1/4 tsp red food colour, optional

to taste Salt

As needed Oil for deep frying
Cooking Instructions

In a bowl, whisk together all the ingredients. Add little water if the batter is too thick. Marinate the chicken pieces with the spice batter and mix to coat well. Leave it for 3-4 hours or overnight. Heat oil in a deep bottomed vessel. Once the oil is heated, add the chicken pieces, making sure not to overcrowd them. Fry for 3-4 mins turning the pieces occasionally. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with a few lime wedges & onions rings.
