Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1 Coconut grated
  2. 8 tbsp Rice
  3. 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  4. 3 Green Chilies
  5. to taste Salt
  6. as needed Water
  7. 3 tbsp Oil
  8. 1 Large onion
  9. 2 Large tomatoes
  10. to taste Salt
  11. 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  12. 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  13. 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  14. 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
  15. 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  16. 1 cup Water
  17. 1/2 tsp Garam masala

Cooking Instructions

    First of all soak the rice for about 10-20 minutes then grind the soak rice,grated coconut,cumin,green chilli to make a fine paste.

    Then make 1-2 inch size balls and press gently in yours hand to give it cutlet/bara shape.

    Then shallow fry the cutlet in a non-stick pan using 1 to 2 table spoon oil, flip both side till golden brown and keep aside.

    For Masala first make a paste of onions (3), tomatoes (2), and then make a paste of chopped ginger (3,4 inch size) garlic (1) with two three cashews make a fine paste.

    Now in a pan heat oil add zeera,bay leaf allow it to crackle.

    Then first add onion & tomatoes paste stir it for 4-5 minutes then add ginger,garlic & cashew paste. Stir it properly till the raw smell goes away along with add turmeric,salt,chilli,coriander powder (according to your taste)

    Stir it properly and once the gravy is done add coconut cutlet, keep the gravy bit thicker as the coconut cutlet/nadia bara will absorb the gravy..
    And it’s done..
