Ingredients

  1. 12 Arvi Pieces washed
  2. 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  3. 1 Teaspoon Methi Seeds
  4. 1 Tablespoon garlic Crushed
  5. 1 onion Large sliced
  6. 1 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
  7. 1 Teaspoon Corrainder Ground powder
  8. 1 Teaspoon Cumin Powder
  9. 1/2 Teaspoon Tumeric Powder
  10. 1 Teaspoon Cayenne Powder
  11. 1 Cup Tamatoes Chopped
  12. 2 Tablespoons Cilantro Chopped
  13. 1 Cup Yogurt

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    In a steamer or a large stock pot boil Arvis until fork tender. Set aside to cool. Peel the skin off and Mash Arvis.

    Heat oil in a Karahi. Add 1ts Methi seeds cook 2 mts and add onions and garlic. Cover and cook 3 minutes. Add all Dry Spices and salt. Add 1 cup water. Stir and cook 2 minutes.

    Add Arvis and Mix well. Add Tamatoes and Mix. Reduce heat to simmer and cook 15 mts. Turn off Heat. Sprinkle chopped cilantro and Yogurt.

Born in India and now living in Chicago. Food is celebration for me. Indian foods are not only great in taste but have a health factor related to it. Just come on and join me in my kitchen. We will have a lot fun! I use a unique mixture of Ginger, Garlic and Tumeric (in equal parts) with peppers, like long chilli spicy, habernero even Ghost peppers. It is potent and healthy. Dont't live to Eat, Eat to Live. Worked at Chefluciano's Restuarant in Chicago for 30 years. Now I am retired.
