Choctaw 🌮 Taco Rice (Tōhei Onush)
Happy Panda Kitchen
@happypandaK
“Tōhei Onush” translates to “Cabbage Rice”. This gooey, spicy, cheesy stir-fry is simply irresistible! 😋 🌮 🌾
Ingredients
-
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
1/2 cup shredded cabbage
-
Diced peppers, purple onions, and possibly other veggies (such as parsnips, carrots, grated ginseng, etc)
-
2 cups cooked rice (preferably, sushi rice)
-
1 can unsalted kidney or black beans
Cooking Instructions
-
1
Stir fry all the veggies, until they’re well done. I used toasted sesame oil, it tastes the best.
-
2
Use leftover cooked rice, or cook new rice as you chop the veggies.
-
3
Grate up some cheddar cheese, and open a can of black beans.
-
4
In the pan, mix and stir fry all the rice, veggies, cheese, beans, and spices, until well done.
-
5
Serve in rice bowl. Well done! 😋
