This is my take on Shoyu Chicken. It is flavorful and juicy. I cut the breast into strips to make for a faster cooking time. I used a Ninja Grill to prepare mine but you can also pan fry. #GlobalApron

Ingredients

20 minutes
4 servings
  1. 2 pounds chicken breast cut into strips (or you can leave whole but increase cooking time)
  2. 1 cup Soy Sauce
  3. 1 cup brown sugar
  4. 2 Tablespoons Sesame and Ginger Crunch
  5. 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  6. 1 Tablespoon salt, pepper, and garlic blend seasoning
  7. 1 tablespoon Paprika
  8. 1 cup water

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

In a large plastic bag, or a marinating container, mix soy sauce, sugar, spices, and water. Add chicken and let marinade in the refrigerator for at least an hour.

  2. 2

Set Ninja grill to medium heat and add the chicken. If in strips set to cook for 8 minutes flipping half way through. For whole chicken breasts set to medium and about 15-20 minutes. I use the thermometer feature to make sure chicken is cooked. These were the times based on my machine. You can also pan fry on the stove flipping half way through. I like to have mine with Jasmine rice.
