Melt the butter with the sugar over boiling water. When it has cooled down, mix in the egg and the egg white.
Mix in the sifted flour and cornstarch. Then blend in the almonds.
Spread the mixture on the baking sheet.
It should be very thin and the almond slices should not overlap one another.
Bake at 170℃ (350F) for about 10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
When the cookies are done, take them out of the oven. Take them out using a knife and cool them on a rack immediately.
