Description

Mashed potatoes' wonderful transformation in a fancy way!

材料 (4 servings)

Gnocchi
Mashed potato mix
180 g
Hot milk / Hot water
560 ml
Bread flour
250 g
Fine salt
1 tsp
Sauce
Blue cheese
100 g
Heavy cream
200 ml
Toppings
Ground black pepper
to taste
Acacia honey / Truffle honey
to taste
Dill
to taste

作り方

    Make mashed potatoes with milk or water.

    Add bread flour & salt to mashed potatoes gradually.

    Knead the gnocchi mixture well.

    Weight of bread flour = 1/3 of mashed potato mix + liquids

    *Add some extra bread flour if the mixture is too soft.

    Scoop the gnocchi mixture and make a small oval shape.

    Make lines to the front & back side with the back of a fork.

    ↑You may skip *The lines help keep the sauce on the gnocchi.

    Boil gnocchi with plenty of water.

    It's done boiling when they start to float on the surface.

    Drain the water.

    Find your favorite blue cheese and make the sauce with it.

    Pour heavy cream into the pan and simmer it with low heat.

    Put in the whole cheese, shave & melt it with a spatula.

    Add gnocchi to it and mix gently.

    Place gnocchi on the plate and spinkle with black pepper.

    Or pour some acacia honey on it.

    If you want to make it richer, try truffle honey!

    Put some dill on top for a nice presentation!

My big recommendation of blue cheese is " Bergader Edelpilz " from Germany. This cheese makes a perfect sauce!
