Swiss Chard Sauté
Description
Rainbow Chard adds color for your dishes!

(2-3 servings)
Swiss chard
large:1 bunch, medium: 2 bunches
shallot (sliced)
1 medium
garlic (minced)
2 cloves
extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons
2 tablespoons
kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon
freshly ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon
red wine vinegar
2 teaspoons

Cut off the stem from the Swiss Chard, then chop the stem.

Roughly cut leaves into 2 inch squares.

Oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add shallots/garlic

Once garlic is fragrant, add the chard stem, cook 2 mins.

Add the chard leaves and water then cover the skillet.

Cook until it gets wilted. Remove the lid and keep stirring.

Season with salt/pepper, cook until the chard gets tender.

Remove from heat and drizzle with red wine, toss and serve!

I use shallots often for cooking, especially if I want to add an aroma and sweetness from the shallot!
