Make an angled cut into the onions.

Stand by the cup of water and the lid.

Oil in a large skillet over medium high heat, add onion/salt

Add a couple tablespoons of water, then cover.

Cook and stir once or twice until the onions get softened.

Uncover, stirring occasionally.

If the bottom of the skillet browns, call a rescue squad!

Pour 2-3 tablespoons of water over the brown part.

Scrape away all brown parts with a wooden spatula,
