Description

This dish brings you nostalgia, even for Jean boy...(om-om)!

材料 (2-3 servings)

cooked rice (Japanese short grain)
500 g
boneless, skinless chicken thigh (cut into small cubes)
100 g
yellow or Vidalia onion (chopped)
1/2 medium
frozen peas
1/4 cup
 
unsalted butter
2 tablespoons
 
ketchup
4 tablespoons
tomato paste
2 tablespoons
better than bouillon chicken base
1/2 teaspoon
garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon
fine sea salt
one pinch + to taste
ground white pepper
to taste

    Get ready with the ingredients!

    If you use COLD leftover rice, don't forget to nuke it well.

    Add butter in a large nonstick pan over medium heat.

    Stir in onion and one pinch of salt, then cook.

    Sauté until the onion get translucent.

    Add chicken and cook until it's heated through.

    Stir in ketchup/tomato paste/bouillon/garlic powder.

    Cook 1 min, add rice/peas and stir until everything combined

    Season with salt and pepper, and serve!

    a thinly cooked omelette, beat 2 eggs with a pinch of salt.

    Oil (1tsp) in a large nonstick pan over medium heat.

    Spread oil with a paper towel to coat the surface.

    Pour in eggs and cover the entire surface with the egg.

    Cook until the bottom is set but the surface is still soft.

    Reduce the heat, add rice in the middle.

    Use spatula to hold both sides of the omelette to cover it.

    Move the omurice to the edge of the pan gently.

    Flip the pan to transfer the omurice to a plate.

    Use a paper towel to shape it into an oval.

    Use ketchup to doodle a smily face or words, serve!

    You can switch to another meat, such as chicken sausages!

コツ・ポイント

After adding ketchup into a skillet, cook to reduce some of the acidity from the ketchup. You can add some sugar too!
