Description

Instant noodles are a great helper for a weeknight dish!

材料 (2-3 servings)

Instant ramen noodles (1 cake = 60 g)
3 cakes
 
fried tofu (cut into cubes)
1 pack (6.5 oz)
red bell pepper (julienne)
1/2 medium
yellow or Vidalia onion (angled)
1/2 medium
scallions (cut into 1.5" long pieces)
2
garlic (minced)
2 cloves
serrano pepper (thinly sliced)
1-2
fresh basil
1 cup (loosely packed)
 
canola oil
1 teaspoon +2 tablespoons
 
for the sauce:
fish sauce
2 tablespoons
Chinese dark soy sauce
1 tablespoon
Chinese light soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon
light brown sugar
1/2 tablespoon
chicken bouillon powder
1 teaspoon
1 tablespoon
 
kosher salt
to taste

作り方

    Combine all the sauce ingredients. Set aside.

    Gather all the ingredients.

    Oil in a wok over medium high heat, add tofu.

    Cook all sides until nice and crispy. Set aside.

    Add oil. Continue to heat at medium high. Add garlic/pepper

    Cook until fragrant. Add veggies and cook for 2-3 minutes.

    In the meantime, follow package directions to cook the pasta

    Drain well and transfer into a wok, add sauce and tofu.

    Toss well and taste, add salt as needed.

    Turn off the heat , stir in basil.

    Toss once more and serve!
