Porky Napa Cabbage
Description
Simple ingredients make comfort food for the winter!

(3-4 servings)
napa cabbage (chopped into 2" wide slices)
1 lb
thinly sliced pork
1/2 lb
mushrooms (oyster, shimeji or shiitake: sliced or shredded)
1/2 lb
garlic (grated)
2 cloves

for the broth:
1 cup
sake
1/4 cup
chicken bouillon powder
1 tablespoon
Japanese light soy sauce
1 tablespoon
kosher salt
to taste

Chop the napa cabbage into 2" wide pieces.

Separate the ribs and leaves. Set aside.

Place the napa cabbage into a large Dutch oven.

Place the meat on the napa. Repeat to make a layer of these.

Place the mushrooms on top of the veggies.

Add all the broth ingredients, cover, then heat to medium.

Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for 10 mins.

Add the leaves, then cover and cook for another 5 minutes.

Stir mix it all together, taste and add salt as needed.
