Description

A sweet ginger sauce with pork is a staple Japanese dish!

材料 (3-4 servings)

sliced pork belly or loin (cut into bite sized pieces)
1 lb
1 medium
 
canola oil
1 tablespoon
 
for the sauce:
ginger (grated)
1 tablespoon
sweet or yellow onion (grated)
1/4 medium
3 tablespoons
sake
2 tablespoons
mirin
2 tablespoons
cane sugar
2 teaspoons
 
paper towel

作り方

    Combine all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl.

    Oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

    Add pork and stir sporadically. Cook until almost heated.

    Use a paper towel to the remove excess fat from the pork.

    Add onions and cook until the onions get translucent.

    Lower the heat, then pour the sauce over the meat.

    Cook and stir at times until the sauce thickens.

コツ・ポイント

Add grated onions to make the pork tender. Remove the excess fat to prevent the sauce from getting diluted.
