Description

Chinese style tofu and mushrooms as a side!

材料 (2-3 servings)

fried tofu (cut into bite sized pieces)
1
oyster mushrooms (shredded)
1/2 lb
fresh ginger (minced)
1 teaspoon
 
canola oil
2 tablespoons (divided)
 
for the sauce:
1/3 cup
oyster sauce
1 tablespoon
Chinese light soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon
mirin
1 tablespoon
Chinese chicken bouillon powder
1/4 teaspoon
potato starch
1/2 teaspoon
 
toasted sesame oil
1/2 tablespoon

    Combine all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl.

    Oil in a large skillet over medium heat, and add tofu.

    Cook all sides of the tofu until lightly golden and crispy.

    Remove from the skillet and set aside.

    Over medium heat, add mushrooms.

    Stir occasionally and cook until mushrooms get wilted.

    Add ginger and cook until fragrant.

    Add cooked tofu and the sauce mix, and toss to combine.

    Cook until the sauce thickens and evenly coats everything.

    Turn off the heat. Add sesame oil and toss once more. Serve.

コツ・ポイント

Add toasted sesame oil at the end of the cooking to keep the dish's aroma.

Oyster mushrooms are our favorite, and we use them a lot. I decided to use them for a simple but savory side. :-)
